Ashley Clements is the creative strategist behind SkyQuest Park’s media presence, currently completing her Master of Arts in Public Relations while advancing her career at Full Sail University. A storyteller at heart, Ashley blends her love of theme parks, communications, and immersive design to craft engaging digital experiences and brand narratives. Her work brings SkyQuest Park’s world to life, infusing imagination, strategy, and a touch of magic into every project.

  5. Affordability is the main pillar of the park’s mission. Our ticket prices are typically 20-30% lower than those of our nearby competitors. Here at SkyQuest Park, we want to ensure families can enjoy exciting entertainment without breaking their budget (Visit Orlando,2024) 

  6. Sky Quest Park invests in technology to improve guest experiences. Our SkyQuest Park Mobile App allows for visitors to check wait times, make dining reservations, and order food ahead of time. 

  7. Community engagement is one of the most important pillars in our mission—SkyQuest Park partners with local schools and nonprofits to host educational field trips and seasonal charity events. 

  8.  Accessibility and safety is our top priority at SkyQuest Park. All rides undergo daily mechanical checks by our engineers. SkyQuest follows Florida amusement park safety regulations. (Florida Department of Agriculture & Consumer Services, 2023). All of our attractions also feature wheelchair-accessible entrances.

  9. SkyQuest Park hosts seasonal events such as our Winter Stars and our recently added Fallen Star Frights. These seasonal events make SkyQuest Park the go-to destination for affordable family fun throughout the year. 

  10. SkyQuest Park is committed to sustainability and innovation. We are proud to introduce solar power and eco-friendly dining into our park by 2026. This reflects the company's long-term goal and dedication to environmental responsibility.

Who is Ashley? Ashley Clements is a PR specialist and artist based in Altamonte Springs, FL, on a mission to blend creativity with storytelling.

 

 

Background? Her educational background is a bachelor’s degree in psychology (focused on child development) and a minor in art design.

 

 

She is currently pursuing a master’s in public relations at Full Sail University, where she is learning how to share her creative visions with a broader audience.

Interview Script with Alex Porter, CEO & Founder of SkyQuest Park

Interviewer: Thank you for joining us today, Alex. To start, can you tell us a little bit about your background and what inspired you to create SkyQuest Park?

Alex Porter: I grew up right here in Orlando, Florida, so theme parks have always been a big part of my life. After earning my MBA in Hospitality Management and my bachelor’s in Business Administration, I worked in theme park operations and later as a director of guest experience at a local resort. Those experiences taught me a lot about how to create memorable guest experiences. Eventually, I wanted to combine my entrepreneurial drive with my love for creativity, which led to founding SkyQuest Park.

Interviewer: You’ve spent much of your career in hospitality and entertainment. What lessons from those roles do you bring to your leadership at SkyQuest?

Alex Porter: One of the biggest lessons is that every detail matters in creating a guest experience. Whether it’s ride operations, customer service, or park cleanliness, small touches build trust and leave lasting impressions. I also learned how important adaptability is—you never know what challenge is coming next, but if your team has a clear vision, you can overcome it together.

Interviewer: Your staff describes you as visionary. How do you foster innovation and keep the park’s creative spirit alive?

Alex Porter: I believe in giving my team room to experiment. Some of our best ideas come from brainstorming sessions where no idea is off the table. We focus on storytelling, not just attractions. I like to inspire everyone with a big-picture vision, but also empower them to make creative decisions day-to-day.

Interviewer: What makes SkyQuest Park different from other amusement destinations in Orlando?

Alex Porter: Orlando has some of the biggest theme parks in the world, so we knew we had to stand out. SkyQuest combines nostalgic charm with cutting-edge attractions. For example, we’re introducing new immersive experiences like VR rides while also keeping family-friendly staples that remind people of the classic park experience. It’s that balance between past and future that sets us apart.

Interviewer: Running a theme park can’t be easy. What has been your biggest challenge so far as CEO?

Alex Porter: Balancing growth with maintaining quality has been a challenge. It’s tempting to add more attractions quickly, but we’d rather build carefully and make sure every new experience meets our standards. I also think staffing and training are ongoing challenges in this industry. But with a strong culture and clear communication, we’ve been able to create a workplace where people feel supported and valued.

Interviewer: Speaking of communication, your style has been described as assertive but positive. How would you describe the way you lead your team?

Alex Porter: I try to be very clear about expectations, because people do their best work when they know what success looks like. At the same time, I want to create an environment where staff feel encouraged, not pressured. I don’t believe in micromanaging—I’d rather set the vision, provide resources, and let the team shine.

Interviewer: Looking ahead, what do you see as the biggest trend or challenge theme parks will face in the next decade?

Alex Porter: I think the biggest challenge will be adapting to how technology continues to change guest expectations. People want more immersive, personalized experiences, and they expect seamless integration between the digital and physical worlds. At the same time, we can’t lose the human side of hospitality. Balancing tech innovation with warm, authentic guest interaction is the future of this industry.

Interviewer: Finally, what do you hope guests take away after a day at SkyQuest Park?

Alex Porter: I hope they leave with stories to tell. Whether it’s a thrilling ride, a family laugh, or a memory that connects them back to their childhood, I want every visit to feel like an adventure worth remembering. That’s what makes this work so meaningful for me.
